The Church of Scientology faces the prospect of a police investigation in Australia after being accused of torture and embezzlement and of forcing employees to have abortions.

I posted this video recently on Facebook, and am posting it here at the behest of a good friend who insists it deserves a place in the archives. I am including my original comments and links, and would only add that if you have children, I promise you wouldn’t mind watching episodes of Histeria! with them. They are very cleverly written with plenty of subtle jokes and musical parodies for more mature folks. And revered historical figures like Confucius and Abe Lincoln are treated quite fairly, to be sure…HA! Enjoy!

Iranian employees of the British Embassy in Tehran face the prospect of a show trial after the regime said that they had admitted conspiring against the Islamic Republic. Tensions between the Iranian theocracy and the EU rose as a hardline Ayatollah accused Britain of attempting to undermine the regime and EU officials expressed concern that confessions may have been extracted by torture, leaving the door open for a wholesale withdrawal of EU diplomats from the country.
