Submitting Audio to Project Reason
Project Reason wants to create an expansive archive of the most incisive or inspiring recording from well-known rationalists, scientists, and philosophers. We recommend using the Internet Archive to embed audio on Project Reason site.
Uploading Audio to the Internet Archive and Embedding It
- Create an Internet Archive library card, if you do not already have one.
- Sign in to the Archive.
- Upload audio
- Follow the on-screen instructions for choosing a file to upload, naming the audio clip, choosing a license for the audio clip, and so on.
- Make sure to note the URL you’re given once the upload process is complete
(ex: http://www.archive.org/details/Jesus_653). - Go to that URL and click on “embedding and help”, which takes you to a screen with several embedding options (ex: http://www.archive.org/about/xspf.php?identifier=Jesus_653)
- Copy the entire text of one of the embedding options (start with the one at the top) and paste it into the Audio field on the article submission page.
