Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the U.S. military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found. Biblical citations inscribed on U.S. military weapons is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament that reads “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Was the Bush administration actually on a fundamentalist-inspired mission to bring about the Last Battle? I wonder who knew about this and how many of them are still working in the Pentagon.

I actually don’t have any problems with this, and I’m a pretty hardcore atheist.  The reference is very discreet—I’d just take it like a literary reference.

religious doctrine and a weapon is not so different then some idiot shouting ahlu akbar before he explodes. apparently religion should aspire to death, weather you are on the giving end or the receiving end of it.
