It’s no secret that the distribution of wealth is inequitable in the United States across racial, regional, and socio-economic groups. But there is a distinct variance among and within America’s faiths as well. This transparency takes a look at the income levels of America’s major religious groups, as compared to the average U.S. income distribution.

The Jew and the Hindu communities are also the communities with the highest percentage of their population to earn college or better degrees. 

Check out the Pew research on religion and education and I think we’re seeing that more education pays better.

A friend of mine, a former Jehovah’s Witness, showed me this article.  She cited it as evidence that those in her former church were as poor as it seemed.  She also felt it was a part of their culture since they live in a constant fear of end-times and don’t plan for the future.
