Don’t know about anyone else but this scares the shiite out of me! How are we supposed to spread logic and reason in the face of people like this? So many people in this world are taught to believe that they are “bad” and that they are “sinful” and need to grovel at the feet of a god. How do you convince people like this that they are wrong?

Scarry. Just plain scarry.

Certainly this doesn’t make any sense even if being religious is somewhat associated with being a total Blind believer…. this doesn’t come into any category of logic or reflection of humanity… and You!! cannot change the thinking, which makes up the foundation for the very basic principle of living life of such people…

You don’t and if you try you have created yourself a religion even one that believes in evangelicalism.

To beat oneself for their sins is about the most ignorant thing they can do. Their own personal devil made in their image might demand such a thing. They have taken responsibility for their ignorance.

Teaching young children they are sinful and there is a chance they will go to a burning hell for eternity may be the most destructive thing we can do to that young child’s mind.

The left behind series of books actually created more fear and guilt for Christians but oh it has been a wonderful way of increasing donations on Sunday. Guilt is one of the most egotistical modes of being in the world.

Almost everyone in the world would much rather admit to their sins then their ignorance.

@Rob Russell…
You should give our troglodyte cousins some more credit. Sure, chimps have been known to be brutal, but I’ve never seen a chimp be as foolish as a human fully convinced of divine rule.
