Articles like this are very disturbing but these controversies are ongoing. most people i talk to about these issues turn a blind eye to them as though its someone else’s problem and they just stay out of it. This is our society we’re talking about. Structure that has been put in place by us and for our advancement as a country. People often tell me to be tolerant of others beliefs ;and, ” let them believe whatever they want”, “don’t be so sensitive”. This is a real problem! It’s not about being too sensitive. Education of children (public, or private) is required by law as far as i understand it. Regulating the education system at a level of ignorance is child neglect. Whats worse is, that its not passive neglect! Its purposefully restricting the intelligence of youth during the most important developmental stages of their lives; simply because the facts don’t mesh well with ones personal beliefs and traditions. How can this be a controversy? This is outrageous!
