It’s a mystery that anyone still listens to anything religious assholes have to say!

Is it a “mystery” too why you and the Vatican shuffles your pedophile priest across other countries knowing they will continue to abuse more children?

The church has been, and ever will be, a bastion and haven for perverse, wierdos of every stripe.  It’s not supernatural dude.

The answer is that paedophiles joined the church because they knew they would have the opportunity to pursue their perversion and be protected by the institution.

I agree with the pope here, if by ‘mystery’ he means god did it.

All religions exist to promote a non-existent god.  It’s no wonder that the promoters of this farce are strange or perverted.
It’s nice to the despotism that existed in the Irish catholic church is on the wane and that steps are being initiated to make the bishops of that questionable institution responsible for their errant pedophiles.

I love watching them squirm as they defend their untenable position on child abuse and all the other sins that they have committed.

Their god may have mercy for them but I have none and I am enjoying their demise.

There must be some “mystery” in little boy’s anuses that these priests are trying to get to the bottom of. It’s a good thing thing the children of atheists will be exempt from this exploration.

The laws of man supercede any laws of religion or a made-up god!  Every human being guilty of these crimes should be judged and punished by the laws of the land!  Reporting these types of offenses or any offense should be reported directly to the police.  Not a church or officials of any religious organization; strictly to law enforcement!

And, any church; especially the Catholic church found guilty or suspicious of aiding any offenders should be dealt with the same vigilance!

I am thousands of miles away from these children and have no love or belief of their god or religion; and I an atheist weap for these poor children and their families!

When you say be reported to the police, what happens when the police are the ones who are corrupt?  How do you cross over into a safe zone where the laws are upheld?  These kids do not need our tears, they need justice, truth, mercy and some assimblence of restitution.

The use of the word ‘mystery’ in church failures to explain itself clearly, approach knowledge and understanding, and reproach its own wrongdoing is a storied one.
Is anyone still shocked by the obtuse nature of the Church with regards to the litany of its own crimes?
