That’s a great win for common sense and fairness.

More like, this will be a great win for common sense and fairness if it actually happens next year.

I’ve always thought it was irresponsible of the Catholic Church to promote the idea that contraception was bad or wrong. I am beginning to see that it is even more than irresponsible….

I was reading through the comments and as far as I read, I didn’t see anyone mention why the church is so against contraception AND abortion.
If you’re forced to be fruitful and multiply, then you make more catholics and if you make more catholics, more money for the church. New funny hats for everybody. That siimple

I think that it would be a very good idea if people started pointing out all of the real-world consequences of this ridiculous notion of contraception being the moral equivalent of murder as publicly and as loudly as possible. There is no need to wander off into the many other legitimate avenues of criticism of the church, other than to establish their longstanding ability to participate in genocide. Joseph Goebbels got excommunicated for marrying a protestant, but, Heinrich Himmler was a member in good standing his entire life. Marrying a protestant threatens their power structure, but, genocide does not. Then, there was that thing about the ratline, where the church was the real world version of Odessa, and, the results of their views on contraception in sub-Saharan Africa. All clear cut examples of the proposition that the church has absolutely no problem with genocide as long as it helps bolster their power base. They have gone through a lot of trouble to take and hold the moral low ground. This should be pointed out as often as possible.

This issue is not just about Catholics, it’s about economic freedom. Insurance corporations may choose to not cover specific purchases. You volunteered to purchase the firm’s services. If you don’t like it, stop being a customer. What’s so uncivilized—as much as the Catholic church’s primitive stance of women’s rights and contraception—is the notion that one can have the state force someone else, in this case entrepreneurs, to satisfy his or her needs.

What a joke that these Catholic scumbags are screaming “conscience” with all they’ve done to cover up and perpetuate systematized child rape. No covered employee is forced to purchase contraception. What are they afraid of—that employees will exercise their free will? Oh no; we couldn’t have that!
The idea that blocking sperm is equivalent to murder is so ludicrous, so mindless, so insane, I can’t believe that religions are still pushing this nonsense in 2012.
BTW—the Captcha I see below includes the letters “y faith”. Why faith? indeed.
