For the first time, the White House will meet with the Secular Coalition for America.  Although Obama himself won’t be at the meeting, several administration officials will meet at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the White House campus with about 60 people from the coalition’s 10 member groups, including the American Atheists and the Council for Secular Humanism

I wish all secular Americans good luck. The sorry plight of Liz Heywood, by the way, could not occur in a country like the Netherlands. Custody would automatically be lifted, albeit temporarily, when a child’s health would be jeopardized because of religious insanity of the parents.

Presuming secular and atheist Americans are working and paying taxes it’s only logical that the White House keeps in touch with their representatives, isn’t it?

My initial pleasure at reading this news was quickly diminished when I clicked on the link for “Christians Protest White House Meeting With Nontheist Group.” I was, however, amused by their assertion that atheists are nothing more than anti-religious “hate groups.”

Um ... hello, Kettle?  This is the Pot ... you’re black.
