La Familia Michoacana, one of Mexico’s most violent drug cartels, claims its thugs are devout evangelical Christians and has its own “bible.” The group’s beliefs call for members to abstain from drugs themselves and do charity work, but to torture or kill anyone who betrays or opposes them.
My favorite quote: “Evil will only reign until Jesus stops it” .........so says the DRUG CARTEL SUPPORTER.
The motto of Christianity should be the line from that old song: “Bend me, shape me, anyway you want me…”

Absolutely repugnant. And these gangs do so much horrifying work in American cities. To paraphrase Hitchens, “it’s too bad there isn’t a hell for them to go to.”

Nice example of compartmentalization here. Be nice to people, but don’t be nice to people. Can their be any doubt that our basic tribal instincts lie at the roots of religious morality?
