Far From Ground Zero, Obscure Pastor Is Ignored No Longer

By DAMIEN CAVE

Print: New York Times,

excerpt:

Speaking in short sentences with a matter-of-fact drawl, he said that he could not understand why other Christians, including the nation’s largest evangelical association, had called for him to cancel “International Burn a Koran Day.”

Hatred and ignorance of this kind actually helps secularists make their case. This man and people like him from all religious persuasions demonstrate adequately why religion itself is the result of ignorance propagated by the ignorant.

The quote at the end of the article is fantastic:

“Even if Muslims outside the United States respond to the planned Koran burning with protests, or worse, Mr. Khan [a Muslim local to this church] said he would spend his Sept. 11 doing the same thing he did last year. He will be downtown, a few miles from Mr. Jones, feeding the homeless.”

There you go, Pastor Jones.

I found this here: Latest installment of Medal of Honor stirs controversyThough not new to video games as a whole, the new “Medal of Honor” is set in Afghanistan. However, the video game in multiplayer mode pits players as either coalition (American or British) against opposing players as the Taliban in “Medal of Honor 2010.” People have been calling for a bar, including the Minister of Defense for the UK.
