Faith, Charity, and the Atheist

By Miguel A. Guanipa
Posted: March 21, 2010.

Print: American Thinker

excerpt:

Real charity instead is anchored on the injunction furnished by the millennia-tested Judeo-Christian tradition, which affirms that every benevolent act towards a fellow human being in need is a direct offering towards our creator…

In contrast, Atheists tends to view suffering as an evil to be avoided, for some even at the cost of removing those whose suffering is deemed less consequential and yet are the most vulnerable, such as the terminally ill and the unborn. Ironically, this is a supreme evil perpetrated in the name of what is really a hollow form of compassion.

Nuts. Paranoia schizophrenia. Believes in invisible wizards, thinks that somebody who is not believing in invisible wizards is stupid and evil. They should rename the site. Thinking is something different than spitting out dogma’s and calling people horrendous names..

If you view other articles by Mr Guanipa or indeed his own website, you will quickly discover what a one-dimensional, superficial and square-minded character he is, including god and nation in most of his articles; this is probably as insightful and objective as his writing gets.

Wow, how ironic this article is posted on a site called “American Thinker.”  Talk about an oxymoron.

I guess we should rename “American Thinker” to read “American Stinker.” The person who edits their comments is obviously a biased belief-head. I commented on the article on their website, and they deleted my final sentence, which read “I guess that makes me more selfish than the believer who gives to charity in order to rack up brownie points with the cosmic dictator.”
Evidently, that statement is too controversial for them to allow on their site.

Odd how it does seem no less self serving for a person to help someone because it’s a “direct offering towards our creator.”

She lost me just from that one quotation.  This article is a joke, the sort of thing an atheist would write to mock fundamentalist Christians.
