If you talk about harm and faith just look at the statistic on science denial in this text, then open up the last issue of the Economist (1st of August to 7th issue) and read about public trends in america concerning global warming. It’s the kind of ignorance that might harm us all on a global scale.

I don’t think religion has anything to do with attitudes toward climate change, except for possibly instilling a bias toward rejecting scientific evidence. Many non-religious fans of science (like me) are skeptical about some of the climate change claims. The field has become too politicized and corrupted by money.

Tilberian. True, climate change skepticism seems to have little to do with religious attitude, but seems to have more to do with political affiliation. If you’re pro-business and anti-government then you’re not likely to want to believe that we are destroying the environment. The evidence that humans are changing the climate seems fairly persuasive.

IF you do not believe that Christians have been destroying “Mother Earth,” since their systematic ideology was in place you need to read this and consider that question again. http://www.scribd.com/doc/24877210/God-is-Not-Green-the-Scary-Story-of-Christian-Systematic-Theology

if you are a believer or a nonbeliever you level of awarenss is nil and will remain nil.
now she can go on and do great things with her compassion for others not in the church’s name but in the name of her own humanity.
this was a blessing in her life.
now can she become aware of that blessing?
