Roman Catholic bishops in Illinois have shuttered most of the Catholic Charities affiliates in the state rather than comply with a new requirement that says they must consider same-sex couples as potential foster-care and adoptive parents if they want to receive state money.

Yep. Non-discrimination laws “trample on their freedom” to use our public tax dollars to promote their private agenda.

...so they show that for them there is no charity without proselytism… since the dark ages religions have been pushing they marketing campaigns as some kind of charity or community service… but rarely without conditions…

But if those religious beliefs include discrimination against others based on their sexuality, then yes, they can be excluded.

They’re not being excluded because of their religious beliefs, it’s because of their actions.

If I am responsible for awarding a contract to perform actions X, Y, and Z, and you are unwilling to perform action Z, you don’t get the contract.

This is a great example of how the religious expect special treatments for there beliefs. You shouldn’t be able to take tax dollars to run an adoption center and then not allow same sex couples to adopt. If you cant come to this conclusion yourself then you probably have a mental disorder I call religion.
