excerpt:

The 2010 Templeton Prize Laureate will be announced Thursday at the NAS headquarters in Washington D.C. at 11 a.m. ET. The $1.5 million prize is given by the John Templeton Foundation…

“The U.S. National Academy of Sciences has brought ignominy on itself by agreeing to host the announcement,” wrote well-known scientist and author Richard Dawkins, on his blog Wednesday. “This is exactly the kind of thing Templeton is ceaselessly angling for—recognition among real scientists—and they use their money shamelessly to satisfy their doomed craving for scientific respectability.”

Progress of a sort? Richard’s name is used without “atheist” “strident” or “militant” attached to it! I am pleased.

Maybe the Templeton Foundation will explain to us why the people of the world have accepted such totally diferent religions. Can chrisitianity and hinduism ,islam, and buddhism all be correct? Lots of differences to be explained. Also,  I wonder if Francis Collins might explain which religion is the correct one?.

This is what money does. Who has money to pay, he/she can get what what needs to be payed. I’m thankful that we have someone as Richard Dawkins and Myers to bring the awareness about a danger. I am sure they are those who will not let the spirituality enter science without notice. We have them to watch when we don’t see. I bet the world be a lot different if we don’t have Dawkins, Harris, Hitchens, Dennet, Myers and others to watch our back.
