Actually it sounds kind of sweet, and it could be adapted for less-specific meditations.  Aside from the parts about god’s will, it could serve as a nice reminder for any couple about the ideals of the love they share.  It is reminiscent of those self-help guides that tell you you can boost your confidence by telling yourself certain things in the mirror each morning.

Huh, I don’t quite know about anyone else, but getting ‘in the mood’ is not something that happens with plan and foresight, so that I can take my girl by the hand and say ‘let’s pray or appreciate our love right now and then have sex’. I’d also have very little interest in disrupting the mood with this ritual somewhere inbetween. Some people might actually find this romantic, but I’d feel rather interrupted. There are sweeter ways to appreciate each other before sex - also ways that require more than just quietly kneeling next to your partner… And more spontaneous and less forced ways, too.
