The Vatican continues to make the point to anyone paying attention that even it doesn’t believe in the traditional definitions of sainthood any more. This trend toward immediate beatification of any even slightly noteworthy Catholic serves only to render the designation meaningless. It’s ridiculous fabrication of miracles as part of the process is just embarrasing to any mind not anethsesized by faith.
