The Anthropomorphic God (2)

By . 2009. Made by Mammals.

“The Old Testament Jehovah is definitely a sort of divine man (not a woman), who sees with eyes and hears with ears – and talks and acts in real time (God waited to see what Job would do, and then he spoke to him). Many contemporary Christians, Jews and Muslims insist that God, or Allah, being omniscient, has no need for anything like sense organs, and, being eternal, does not act in
real time. This is puzzling, since many of them continue to pray to God, to hope that God will answer their prayers tomorrow, to express gratitude to God for creating the universe, and to use such locutions as ‘what God intends us to do’ and ‘God have mercy’, acts that seem to be in flat contradiction to their insistence that their God is not at all anthropomorphic.”
Daniel Dennett

Besides using toilet paper, I do wash my rear with my left hand using water when available. I have Bum Gun installed by my father in one of the restrooms of my house.

Reason and logic has proven that God exists. Read Thomas Aquinas’ Five Proofs. Learn the great intellectual reasoning behind theism. Come on, you are open minded, aren’t you?

@John. I did read and study the five proofs. Didn’t them convincing at all. If you want to learn how to find “proofs” for things, I suggest the scientific method. Any basic level science class in college should suffice to introduce you to it. I would personally choose biology, but that’s just my personal bias (being a doctor an all). You’ll find out how the scientific method not only has worked beautifully so far, but has “self-improving” features built into it.
