This image represents the Christian Right, which is not a religion at all, but a sadistic cult. The Christian Right is a hate group that manipulates Christian language and fuels it with nationalism in order to prey on those who are vulnerable. The Christian Right is a purely American phenomenon, and this is because it exists to further the aims and endless imperialism of corporate capitalism. That is the point of the Christian Right - to brainwash people into following capitalism without question. It has nothing to do with scripture, God, or the hatred of gays and women.
It strategically employs hatred of other people, (much like the New Atheism) in order to make its followers feel special and above others.
There is no sanity in a movement that resorts to hatred in order to convince a society of lies.
