In the early 90’s some kids (presumably) had broken into the marquis in front of one of the local churches.  They removed some letters and rearranged those remaining to form “Holy shit!”.

To this day if I’m driving somewhere and the memory randomly comes to mind, I crack a smile.  wink

I have the opposite reaction to signs like this…I want to do a whole lot more than simply create expletives. Like when the sign at the church at the end of my road read “Look to self, be defeated”.

okay, folks, we are the skeptics here.  let’s act like it.  that image is from a create-your-own-church-sign website in which you can enter your custom text and the image is created to look like a real sign.  i realize that church signs bearing similarly ludicrous messages are par for the course, but lets try to keep those critical thinking caps on for the sake of our own reputation.
