as Einstein’s dictum stated. The randomness of quantum events, (uncertainty principle) seems to rule out a deist God, who created a system of physicalism that could not be predicted. Thus there was apparently no guarantee that humans would have evolved.

What good would that creation have been, and how does that make any logical sense? To set up quantum uncertainty, factor in 13 billion years or so, and let it roll?

The great deists of the enlightenment-Locke, Jefferson, Paine etc., would probably reconsider their brilliant thoughts if they were alive today and were now privy to the findings of the quantum world which is the foundation for all we know including ourselves.

Of course they might turn into fundamental Christians who think the God of Abraham tinkers with nature through miracles just enough to make it all work, and to make us all wonder. However, somehow I think not.

Logically, uncertainty does rule out the christian belief of an “All-Father” god that put humans and animals on Earth for a single purpose, and a certain goal in mind for how things would play out. The two directly defy each other. But it doesn’t serve to say there isn’t a Divine Creator (Not to say I believe in one) that put all things in place, it may even serve to justify that. All things were created by “God” or your chosen deity, and actions let to take there coarse, with divine intervention only when Humanity had failed.

Yes, you only live once, so make the best of your time on Earth. Change the world, You are the product of eons of evolutionary success. Act like it.

The whole idea of god, as its been explained to me, is the he weathers and all critcism. And is above any possible human scrutiny. The ony evidence that matters is that which can be massaged in his favor.

While events at the quantum level appear random, at the macro level it doesn’t turn out that way.  Somehow those random events work to create at least the appearance of order. And we don’t fully understand what is behind the random quantum events.  Don’t count out a creator - deist or theist - just yet.  There’s more to come - what’s your rush?
