Always a blow when another trail blazing musician bows out.

All right, no one is to stone ANYONE until I blow this whistle! Even… and let me make this absolutely clear… even if they do say “Jehovah”!

A great sadness.

I personally would have rather if he’d chosen a different kinda git-fiddle though ...

I assumed he was dead for years.  I mean…forever.  Glad to hear that he lived a long life.

I don’t get it.  Why are folks sad when someone like this dies?  You should be glad he was here at all and that you were here to enjoy his talent.

I can’t wait for Chuck Berry to kick the bucket so we can have a rock ‘n roll party for the ages!  Rappers, heavy metal, hippies, bubble-gum pop, punk rock, rockabilly, blues, radio stations worldwide, everybody (except country music) will come together for a big, fat If-it-wasn’t-for-him-we-wouldn’t-be-here fest.  Half of the kids born that year will be named Chuck or Johnny B.

“If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it ‘Chuck Berry’.”—John Lennon

(Andrew):  I’m sad for all the unborn bluegrass music fans, of course.

(Andrew):  I hope Little Richard is still around for that.
