Project Reason is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading scientific knowledge and secular values in society. After watching this, i wanted to share something which i fund disturbing. Everybody think that these are the Orthodox Jew’s and that’s how they behave, but these are such a small group of people. They don’t represent all of them, doesn’t it cause more harm?
By creating hate to innocence people who could in time understand and accept that non religious people…
If that’s what the Ultra Orthodox Jews do to the Orthodox Jews, what do the Supra Ultra Orthodox Jews do the Ultra Orthodox Jews? How far right can you go without knowing that you passed God?
It’s the case of - We are right and we will force you to comply also, even if it contradicts basic humanity.
Scaring and abusing young girls walking to school, because her clothes are the wrong colour or you can see her angles, their own young Jewish girls for goodness sake.

Having been raised in a liberal Jewish home, I’m dismayed to see this intolerance. At least we know that it is in a small minority and most Israelis, most Jews, do not agree with this obnoxious behavior.

I think fanaticism is an appeal of Islam as it was earlier for Judaism and Christianity. People love to be part of things bigger then themselves and especially things that project will though conquest. The Jews are just getting back to basics in hopes of recapturing their glory days of old.

I think your right, but it takes a special type of thinking to carry out actions that most societies would see as comprehensible in the cold light of day, it takes a twisted sense of what is right and wrong, religion gives us this in bucket loads.

Right, Martin. It does it with a timeless and pervasive tradition of misguided standards by an exceptionally large pool of adherents from which they are able to spring up. It is senseless misspelled G-O-D.

Yes, a lot of the Jews must have been pretty fanatical, since they wrote in the Bible that their God told them to stone people for not keeping the Sabbath, etc. But then again, a lot weren’t fanatical, and those were the ones the fanatics were always railing against for breaking the 613 commandments, mingling with non-Jews, causing God to punish their whole nation, they thought.
Even today, the mother and daughter shown in the OP story are orthodox, but they are not as over-zealous as the ones who are taunting the daughter.
