Probably at least some of you here have heard about the case of the Iranian preacher who Iran has been sentencd to hang because he will not denounce Christianity and Christ. The first news about this told us he was being killed because of apostacy. Evidently, they found a way to avoid being criticized for that horrendous crime of murdering a person just because he left Islam, because the last I heard Iran is saying that was a mistake and he was being executed for something else. Now they are saying he’s guilty of “extortion and rape ” . Oh ya—we believe that don’t we ?

They are lying bastards as usual, and I hope the media keeps this story up-front so there is a huge protest against their barbaric habits. That poor man can’t be murdered ! He has a wife and three kids too. How can they be so heartless ? I guess that’s easy to figure out - Islam is heartless.

The people should scream about it- we can’t let him die ! he’s imprisioned now , and I doubt they will let him out even if they don’t kill him

Iranian evangelical pastor Yousef Nadarkhani has been sentenced to death for apostasy. (Christian Solidarity World)

Evangelical pastor senteced to death.

Now there’s an idea that fills a much needed gap. If we must have capital punishment then do the lot of ‘em I say. While there at it they could give the chop to all the imams as well. The latter could choose stoning if they prefer it. And it should all happen on one day across the world. International Clean-Up Day. That would rid us of the scourge. And think economies of scale.

I would never just condemn a whole lot of people for the sins of some, but still it’s hard for me to believe there are any Imams who do not preach hate of infidels , and recommend their destruction.

There are times when it is a sin to say nothing.  All those people who are so worried sick about Muslims not being treated fairly—can you come out of your dream world for a minute and muster up some worry about how Muslims treat others ?

If this man dies it will be partly due to our lack of protest.

That’s right, sweety. It’s a sin to say it’s only one religion that is the problem. The lot of the bastards need garotting.

You are one sexist weirdo with that “sweety” remark.

That kind of liberal hypocritical remark goes hand in hand with liberals also condemning religions on one hand and praising ISLAM and Anwar Al Awlaki on the other. Totally disassociating the conflicting linkages like a sociopath.

Al Awlaki is “held up as a new generation of Muslim leader capable of merging East and West,”  - New York the Times article from Oct. 19, 2001

”Al-Awlaki bridges the two worlds as easily as he shifts from lecturing on the lives of the prophets to tapping phone numbers into his Palm Pilot,”
“He and other Muslims say they support action against terrorist leader Osama bin Laden in retaliation for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks[.]” - The Baltimore Sun October 28, 2001

”Awlaki, whose mosque is one of the largest in the U.S., sees himself as a Muslim leader who could help build bridges between Islam and the West. [B]ut political scientist Telhami says these are difficult days for Muslim moderates,” the NPR report   on Nov. 1, 2001.

Just two months after the 9/11 attacks, the Washington Post even had Al-Awlaki answer readers’ questions about Islam on the newspaper’s website.

”[T]he greatest sin in Islam after associating other gods besides Allah is killing an innocent soul,” was one gem of wisdom Al-Awlaki offered Washington Post readers On Nov. 18, 2001.

Not surprisingly, you confuse ad hominem insults with logic and reason.

All “peace-loving” Muslims should be outraged and more vocal in their opposition. That’s been one of their main criticisms since 9/11, justified or not. The Arab Spring goes directly to these kinds of injustices but still, something seems to be missing. What a missed opportunity for Christians and Muslims world wide to unite in peaceful protest and condemnation of these tyranical acts.

A noble and reasonable sentiment. That is where West does NOT understand Islam.

Yes, Muslims are conscientious people when religion is not a factor. They can be just as kind and loving as any other person. But they willingly submit their conscience to their faith and accept any crime if it is dictated by their religion. If they can remain silent when, for example a woman is accused of adultery and she is sentenced to be stoned to death, they would never protest death for apostasy.  At least not in the numbers you are thinking. They blame the adulterer or in this case the apostate and not the draconian law. These people could be caring and loving people, yet their conscience can never overcome their faith.

You are the idiot who made the ad hominem.

And I call everyone sweety, male ot female - get used to it. I am not sexist. Or one eyed. You need to grow up. People are not idiots just because they do not agee with GOP. But people do recognise idiots who only agree with the GOP.

Just give Celal a little attention. Wave and say Hi! Then maybe he’ll leave fewer mental sputum messes out here where we all have to deal with them.

It seems pretty obvious all all he really wants is attention.

No one who’s remotely interested in genuine discussion acts out like that every time he “says” anything at all.

As usual, you are clueless about my posts. Incidentally also uninformed about the writings of Sam Harris (founder of this Site).

I especially reserve my criticism for Islam (rather than Christianity) based on logic and reason. I have never praised Christianity but pointed out to you people, the uninformed,  about the legacy of Christianity, secularism.  After all, isn’t the purpose of this site to promote secularism?

Sam Harris writes in the “End of Faith” , Chapter 4 [The problem with Islam]:

While my argument in this book is aimed at faith itself, the differences between faiths are as relevant as they are unmistakable. There is a reason why we must confront Muslims” , ....Page 108

He also discusses the “leftist unreason”  on pages 138- 147 and other pages.

Sam Harris criticizes Christianity, yes Of course, but unmistakeably reserves his sharpest words for Islam for good reason. I understand it but none of you do.

Most people here, including administrators,  have turned Sam Harris project into a political support for Democratic socialist agenda

So why are you here, sweety?

If you are trying to make a case for Sam being a liberal or a conservative you’re pissing into the wind.

And everybody, far from not having a clue, knows exactly what your posts are about. You are here to peddle conservatism and the GOP is great line. That’s fine. Just don’t bullshit about it because everyone here saw through you long ago.

Sweety.

And as for that crap about the administrators, you wouldn’t find more even handed admisnistors on any forum. Proof? They put up with one-eyed shit from the likes of you.
