Yes, of course religious philosophy had a big part in the Protestant/Catholic conflict during Martin Luther’s time. However, even then, it was just as much about Protestants wanting to get out from under the control of the corrupt rulers who were allied with the Catholic church. So it was in large part a political battle. The church was part of the government.The recent Protestant/Catholic violence in Ireland was mainly about whether England would continue to rule the territory. In your own area of the world, aren’t the Jewish/Muslim conflicts about land and civil rights more than a theological argument about the Bible versus the Qur’an?
that’s generally right. while the religion effect will not hide somewhere, it will remain as an important factor, or at least Assisting/supporting/ exciting agent.
