Today was the final day of the fasting month of Ramadan. Tomorrow Aug. 30 will be the Moslems small feast “Ayeed Alfetr ” . Who will congratulate me or any near by Moslem?
If you like to make it more friendly, tell him ” taqabal Allah menk” which means I hope that Allah accepted your fasting.

However, for what it’s worth, and for whatever he gained from his month long dietary regime, I will say taqabal Allah menk.
Now, Samy, you can go back to eating normally - well, as normally as permitted for a religious person of your perusasion. I guess pork, duck and lots of other goodies are ‘hors de question’. I’ve never understood why this should be so. Just becasue it says so in some old book. Just more tiresome religious nonsense as far as I can see.

Thanks for those whom proved they can tolerate the others, in fact there have to be the others. Even if the whole world converted to atheists, they will be different in judging what is moral and what isn’t. And if hey gathered on that, they will be different in colors. While if they gathered on that they will be different in other thing. They have to be different and different. The point is how to deal with the different.
If you decide to have an atheism feast, I think, I’ll have no problem congratulating you.
Samy - Islam is not about tolerance. It is about embracing intolerance. In America, Muslim numbers are relatively few, therefore American do not get to see the true nature of Islam.
Some Muslims celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr in an amusement park. But due to past accidents in the Amusement park, on Playland rides in New York that killed two children and a park worker, safety rules were put in in place. No head covers, no scarves. Apparently Muslims felt they are above man made rules. They insisted on wearing Hijab.
”A melee broke out Tuesday afternoon at Playland Amusement Park when Muslim visitors became angry that the park was enforcing its ban on headgear by prohibiting the women from wearing their traditional head coverings on some rides. Police from at least nine agencies converged on the park beginning at 3 p.m. after county police sought assistance in responding to the disturbance, which involved 30 to 40 people.
Two rangers were injured while breaking up a fight between visitors, and two visitors were charged with felony assault, police said. Another 13 people were arrested, most charged with disorderly conduct. Names were not disclosed, and all those charged were released by Tuesday night.
One of the rangers suffered an injured knee and the other an injured shoulder, said Deputy Parks Commissioner Peter Tartaglia.”
