“we are living proof that jesus died for our sins”..hmm..are we really? we’re living-yes. we’re proof of something..maybe that our parents made us. ummm jesus? never seen the guy..didnt see him die..the bible talks about him, but my friend from another religion said not to trust the bible, trust HIS book, and my mum says hare raama hare krishna. i say batman is a more awesome fictional character-hes got his books-movies and a cool logo. jesus doesnt have a logo!
There are many other religions and many other prophets. Mine has helped me immeasurably throughout my life, but it is our collective understanding that results from interaction among many free points of view. There is no need to be strong. In fact, I am weak.
=> no doubt he has helped you..and collective understanding? were the crusades, terrorists results of this interaction? i cant really blame religion for all that, maybe id blame politics-but religion had a vital part to play, even in ol’ India with the hindu-muslim riots that happened a few years back in Gujarat. it looks to me like just a bunch of people trying to sell a book to each other books with nothing else to show :| i just have one question. why cant there be weekly miracles all over the world to stop all the arguing? then there would be just one religion-and though i’m an atheist-i really wouldn’t mind if there was just one big fat religion, with a god i could see. so why not?
America is an ideal we all learn from the moment we are born with individual freedom (and all the checks under the Constitution). My dentist is from India and I love her like a sister, the person who cleans and drills my teeth.
