Of course if there is no free will, religious people have had no choice in their belief and will continue to have no choice in the future.

And we have no choice in getting rid of them.

The only way to answer the question of whether there is “free will” or not is to try and “bounce” the answer somewhere else. Like how we can see the effect infrared light has on film, even though we can not actually see it with our own eyes. I don’t think you can use the same equipment (your mind) that formulated this question, to answer it. It’s like being an orange and trying to eat yourself.
