The obsession with sexual themes in religions (who can marry who and how many wives can you marry?, who can’t sleep with who?, who can and can’t divorce?, is your new bride a virgin?, was your savior’s mother a virgin?, is your new bride worth as much as your best cow or not?, how many virgins does one get in heaven and what do they look like?) really demonstrates that all religions are man made.
It’s really funny. Be very sexually restrained on Earth, but, oh boy, are you going to get some in heaven!

The joke is on them.
When they get to their heaven there will indeed be the most beautiful virgins they have ever laid eyes on in their life. Beautiful faces and bodies perfect in every way.
But they must remain virgins for eternity.
They can look but cannot touch. The veil between them and the virgins is transparent but cannot be crossed.
Their heaven turns out to be a continual on going hell of lustful desires that cannot be fulfilled for eternity.
God is great.

What is it with these cults of death and twisted sexuality?. This guy is quite clearly certifiable.

I’d be interested to know more about the context of this video. Is this representative of mainstream clerics? Is it a small number of known extreme preachers?
I would like to compare them to the wacky televangelists that ply their wares every Sunday morning on TV. But all the christian guys do is ask for money. Violence is not part of their core message.
These muslim guys probably ask for money as well, but is it true that this is the predominant public message that is heard from these clerics? Is this a small sample of public clerics, or is this a representative sample of what they all are saying?

And Obama recently said that religion is non-violent

Kinghunter95, that’s not exactly what Obama said, and the context is critical:
“No faith justifies these murderous and craven acts. No just and loving God looks upon them with favor…”
Is this what you were referring to?

I worked out in Saudi Arabia last year. I didn’t meet too many Saudi’s though as everyone i worked with was from Egypt. I didn’t see views like this, but politically the views were, lets say, right wing.
I don’t know whether it’s fair to put their views on the same political line as ours for comparison, but if you do you end up describing them as extreme conservatism with some strong right wing tendencies.
There was no evidence of this type of view and Islam was seen as purely loving, but at the same time they were unable to talk about anything outside of Islam for more than a few minutes at a time, seemed to only want to convert in any given conversation, and strains of antisemitism were not hidden. It was considered so obvious as to be spoken loudly without anyone offering counterargument that there is a secret Jewish world government trying to lead people away from Islam and evolution is one way it is tying to corrupt people. The idea of evolution from ‘monkeys’ just made them laugh out loud if i spoke of it. That would be described as extremely right wing if featured in western politics - along the lines of holocaust denial. Alongside that they were extremely friendly and open people.
I met one guy out there who was atheistic and looked on his muslim brothers as a bit nutty and was capable of seeing fault with Islams claims on the natural world. He was a breath of fresh air, but he was the only one i met.

This is the scariest thing humanity faces today. Do we really have even a shadow of a chance to get these people (meaning fundamentalists on all sides) to apply reason? Can they be educated? All of my life I have believed that to educate was to lift up, that all hatred, war and poverty could be solved by educating the people…..this guy shines doubt on all that. My missing piece of the solution? You can only educate those that want to learn. uh oh. Learn or pornographic sex with nubile virgins for eternity? hmmm. We ain’t got a chance.
