Christopher Hitchens
Christopher Hitchens (1949-2011) was an author, journalist, and literary critic. He regularly wrote for Vanity Fair, The Atlantic, The Nation, Slate, The New York Times Book Review, Free Inquiry, and a variety of other journals. He was the author of the #1 New York Times best seller God is Not Great (a finalist for the 2007 National Book Award). He also wrote Why Orwell Matters, Letter to a Young Contrarian, The Trial of Henry Kissinger, and many other books. In 2005 Mr. Hitchens was named one of the world’s Top 100 Public Intellectuals by Foreign Policy and Prospect magazines. He is deeply missed.
